Martha Blanchfield provides marketing, public relations, writing and stunt planning for ‘renegade’ companies. She stumbled onto photography in 2000 when a fantastic opportunity to lead PR for Lexar Media came her way; coming just as the company was going public and digital imaging was beginning its meteoric climb.
A Napa Valley native, Martha loves prepping photography education excursions programs in Napa-Sonoma wine county and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Renegade favorite workshops have included: Film Noir, stop motion liquid photography, Old Hollywood George Hurrell influence and “Arm Candy on the Tarmac” with a world speed record breaking plane. She’s also interested in turning the traditional photo agency on its head through her Renegade Virtual Photo Agency.
When not inventing photo stunts or pondering pixels, she races OPBs (other peoples’ boats) on the San Francisco Bay–trimming the main or working the jib. To be truthful, she actually does ponder pixels when on the water. In fact, her favorite photo subject is boats as they race. Her articles have appeared in Rangefinder, AfterCapture and Studio Photography magazines. Martha has worked for clients such as Nikon, Lexar Media, SanDisk, GoPro, imagenomic, Adesso Albums, AdMission and a host of others.
